Whitney 1860 dated Saber Bayonet manufactured by Ames remains in fine condition. Blade has some scattered peppering. Push button functions well. The inside MRD measures 22.65mm. These rifles went to the state of Mississippi & Georgia early in the war. Overall bayonet measures 24 5/8″ with a 19 13/16″ blade. A very scarce bayonet.
