US M-1840 Pomeroy Percussion Conversion Musket

M-1840 Pomeroy Percussion Conversion Musket overall 57″ in Very fine condition. All markings are present. Smooth Bore and actions are fine. Both lock and barrel are dated 1840 which is rarely encountered first year of production. Barrel is marked US JH over P. Stock is very fine with minor dings and handling marks. Stock has a very nice inspectors cartouche opposite the lock and on top of the comb forward the butt plate.
