Springfield Armory M-1873 Trapdoor Rifle

M-1873 45/70 Trapdoor sn 71xxx overall 52″ in excellent condition. All marking are present. Bore and actions are fine. Lock retains nearly all of its blue with excellent markings and 1873 date. The 1873 dated breech block is excelent and retains most of its oil quenched case color finish. Barrel shows around 90% or better blued finish. Stock is excellent with minor handling marks and a crisp clear ESA inspectors cartouche. The Circle P firing proof is also crisp and clear behind the trigger guard. Overall a super example for a 1873 rifle manufactured just before the 1877s.
