Springfield M-1842 Musket remains in mint, unissued and unfired condition. Musket is as found and looks just like it would have coming from the shipping crate. Metal retains light amounts of cosmoline that I’m sure could be removed if wanted. Stock has a few minor handling marks. Lock and barrel are both dated 1853. Overal 57 3/4″. No need to find better.
