Smith Artillery Carbine

Smith Artillery Carbine sn #26xx. All markings are present. Bore and actions are fine. This is by far the nicest example of these early Smith Carbines we have come across. Barrel retains around 85%+ blue and frame has some light case colors. Stocks are fine showing light use and a nice inspectors cartouche. These early carbine have seen substantial military service and were manufactured in small numbers. Overall length 38 1/2″
