Sabre remains in excellent + condition. This is the nicest example we have owned in years. Both blade and scabbard have matching inspections and NJ for New Jersey. Blade is mint and retains all of its original polish. Blade is marked Ames 1864 US D.R. and NJ. The original leather washer is present. Leather grip is excellent. Scabbard is excellent with no dents. A super Civil War Cavalry Saber.
