Ames M-1840 Cavalry Sword W/S Marked US JH 1857 / Ames Mfg Co Chicopee Mass. Sword remains in fine as found untouched condition. Leather grip is very nice showing light use. Pommel top has R.H.K.W. and J.H. inspections. Scabbard is fine with no dents and fits blade perfect. This is second to last years production for the M-1840 heavy Cav. Overall 43 1/4″.
