N.P. Ames 1848 Dated Artillery Saber W/S, Guard & Scabbard drag stamped 200, overall 39″ in fine condition. Blade has excellent N.P. Ames Cabotville marking with some areas of tarnish. Leather grip is fine showing light wear. The scabbard is the correct early style with an internal spring that fits into the guards recess. A nice example of this scarce to find Mexican War era saber.
