50/70 Carbine & Rifle Cartridge Box Altered Civil War

Cartridge box remains in fine condition. A very scarce and early Indian war era box. These were manufactured from original Civil War Musket boxes. The cover war period altered to a painted canvas and the interior lined with wool. The swivels were removed so box could be unsed on a waist belt. The inner flap has a Boston Mass maker.
