Original superb example of the Starr Arms Co. single-shot carbine. Marked “STARR’S PATENT SEPT. 14TH 1858” on the frame along with “STARR ARMS CO., YONKERS, N.Y.” address stamp on the lock/frame panel and “STARR ARMS CO. YONKERS N.Y.” oon the barrel. Solid walnut stock with a rich, untouched patina and visible cartouche inspection stamps on the wrist. Crisp inspector stamp H.G.B. on barrel. Case-colored/browned steel surfaces showing attractive, honest aged patina consistent with careful storage.
