Spencer Navy Rifle

Spencer Civil War Navy Rifle sn #6xx, overall 47″. Only 709 of these rifles were manufactured with bayonet lugs. Rifle remains in very good + condition. Metal has scattered peppering with medium peppering on left side of frame. Top of fram has Spencer address that is mostly visable. Bore has good rifling with some scattered pitting. Actions are fine. Stocks are fine showing period use. There is a small chip out of forestock in front of frame on right. Butt stock has a stable repaired crack that runs from the frame to about an inch past the front of comb. Just forward the butt plate is a 2 1/2″ patch of old wood fill that has blended in well. These rare Navy rifles are rare in any conditions.
