Mass Arms Co Maynard Primed Belt Revolver John Brown Model
Mass Arms Revolver sn #5xx, overall length 12″ with a 7″ barrel. Only around 1000 of these scarce revolvers were manufactured. It is know that around 200 of this model revolver were sold to abolitionist John Brown for his use in 1857. First shipped to a farm in Ohio and then trans-shipped to Kansas in 1859. Revolver remains in fine ++ condition. Metal has traces of blue. Back strap and trigger guard show most of the silver. All marknigs are present. The hand rotated cylinder functions as it should. Cylinder retains nearly all of its scene which is a rare feature for this model. Wood grips are excellent. This example is far superior to what is normally seen for this scarce John Brown Model revolver.
