Hewes & Philips Alteration Type 1 New Jersey Musket

H&P Musket overall length 58″. All markings are present. Bore and actions are fine. Musket remains in very fine condition and retains much of its original Brown finish. Lock retains a fair amount of case color and is marked Springfield and dated 1831. Barrel is marked H&P 1861 side is marked N.J. Stock is very fine with good sharp edges and nice cartouches. Overall a real nice early war musket.
