Sword remains in fine as found, untouched and uncleaned condition. Blade is fine + and was manufactured without etching. Ricasso is marked Collins & Co Hartford Conn 1862. The brass guard has small US in center. Shark skin grip is very fine. The original leather scabbard has flaked a good bit on the front side. Blade fits scabbard perfect. Overall 39 1/2″.
