Ames 1860 Dated Cavalry Saber

Saber remains in very fine + condition. This is one of the best examples of the Virginia Contract sabers we have come across. Blade retains much of its original polish and has super Ames markings with crisp 1860 date. The orignal leather washer is present. Leather grip is near excellent. Scabbard has no dents and could use a little cleaning. A real nice saber that was shipped South before the start of the war.
